With the holidays approaching, Dan and I decided to replace our normal cards and instead use them as our save the dates! Two birds, one stone. Actually more like three birds; we get to share our engagement pictures, send our Christmas cards and give our guests information about our wedding! Dan smartly came up with this idea, and I came up with the content of the card, “Our Christmas wish is for you to Save the Date and join us in the Windy City on June 13, 2015!” We also listed our website at the bottom of the card, so our guests can go to the site and get our ceremony/reception info, as well as hotel info.
I saw a ton of commercials for Vistaprint advertising their holiday collection and that they were offering 60% off! I ending up being able to order our cards for only $60 total (and that was with some upgrade choices)! From the research I done previously done about save the dates, I wasn’t going to be able to get them for anywhere close to that, so I was super happy that we thought outside the box and didn’t stick to only traditional invitation sites. As I’ve said before, if you’re a bride on a budget (as most of us are), check into discount sites before making a purchase!
Here is the finished product!
